^Lot 471a Colt 1877 'Lightning' .38 Colt #116506

Single and double action blued steel revolver, approximately 4 3/8" barrel, left side of barrel is marked "Colt D.A. 38", semi-circular blade front sight, rear sight is an integral notch in the top strap, flip open loading gate, checkered hammer spur, smooth trigger, hard plastic two-piece grip with Colt logo, retains approximately 60% finish with rust spots on the barrel, cylinder and the top of the frame. The receiver and grip frame exhibits a light patina. The trigger guard and bottom of the grip are marked "116506". Manufactured circa 1900. This model was Colt's first double action revolver and it was initially cataloged, “Colt’s Double Action, Self-Cocking Central Fire Revolving Pistol.” Condition is NRA Good. ***C&R Firearm***.
